In true form, last year did not go quietly. The end of 2020 left me exhausted and spent. I know I am not alone in my hopes that this year will be a smoother ride for the world in general. It hasn’t been the perfect beginning many were hoping for, but I’ve found that by the end of January I am much more recovered than I was a month ago. Writing is coming much easier than it was in November with both my longer project and the short story I have been trying to have ready for critique by the end of next month. I am excited to virtually attend Life, The Universe, & Everything symposium this year. This is a symposium I’ve wanted to attend for three years now, but the stars have finally aligned (with a lot of pushing and pulling by me), making it possible. Please feel free to join if being inspired by successful artists and fellow creators is something you can fit into your busy schedule—or just for the heck of it. I look forward to sharing what I learn and amazing moments in March.
On that happy note, I have an announcement that will impact some of the future posts I make on this site. Instead of simply publishing my ramblings and announcements in 2021, I wanted to have something that readers could use, or would at least offer some food for thought. Starting this month, I am going to post quarterly in what I have decided to call the Reader’s Library. I will be doing the same with what I am dubbing the Writer’s Toolbox starting in February.
Since not everyone who visits and author’s website wants to be a writer, I have decided to share things related to reading, books, genre, and so forth. On the other hand, I know many whom come to explore here will want tips, tools, and tricks that will help them in their craft. There will be three posts in both the Reader’s Library and the Writer’s Toolbox. If these series are fun both to make and enjoyable for those who visit, they will extend into the next year. As we learned in 2020, we will have to see what each day brings.
Thank you for dropping by. Check back soon for more updates and fun topics!
